Jessica + Trent | East Texas Elopement

When Jessica and Trent reached out and told me they were opting for an elopement in East Texas over a traditional wedding, I couldn’t wait to hear more of what they had planned! We talked all about their plans to celebrate their love on this special day. We even decided that I would be the officiant for their wedding to create an even more intimate experience! Did you know that I have the ability to do that if you are wanting to make the day just you two and a photographer?

First Look at Airbnb

Before venturing out into Angelina State Forest, Jessica and Trent did a first look at the airbnb they were staying at. It was such a sweet moment witnessing Trent get the first look of his beautiful bride and asking her to twirl around so he could see her entire dress!

Hiking Through Angelina State Forest

After their first look, we packed up our bags and headed off for a three mile hike through Angelina State Forest. I love that even in their full on wedding attire, Jessica and Trent weren’t afraid of what we faced on the trails. You could tell they were both truly in their element as we made our way to the ceremony site!

Exchanging Vows Amongst The Pine Trees

After our three mile hike, we reached the ceremony site. I love that Jessica and Trent packed a few things to make it their own! This included a rug, candles and few small details. Once we were all set up, I performed the ceremony for them and let them each see their vows to each other. They wrote their own and it was so sweet to hear what they had to say about each other!

Romantic Wedding Portraits

As we hiked back to their airbnb, we took some wedding portraits amongst all the beauty the forest had to offer. It was so fun to get creative and these two were pros in front of the camera! Can’t you just see the way they love each other?!

Let’s also take a moment for how gorgeous Jessica is. At this point we had hiked about 4 miles and you would have never known!

Candlelit Picnic for Two

After exchanging their vows and making the trek back to their airbnb, it was time a romantic picnic and cake cutting as husband and wife! They had the sweetest setup to soak up the day.
