Amber + Garret | Moab Elopement at Dead Horse Point

How It Started

Amber reached out to me via social media to ask me if I would be interested in photographing her and Garret’s elopement in Moab. To which I answered — heck yes! From here we started to outline details. Hannah, who is oftentimes my second shooter at weddings, is ordained & accompanies me on elopements. She performs the ceremony and then doubles as a second shooter for all of the romantic portraits to be sure we capture the day in all of its beauty.

When the time came, we flew into Grand Junction and rented a car to drive to Moab. We stayed at the Red Cliff’s Lodge which was nestled in a canyon right on the river. The scenery was out of this world! So I was able to include a bunch of extra scenic images in their final gallery as a bonus.

Elopement Day in Moab

We met up with Amber while she was getting ready with some of her close friends and family members. The vibe was so relaxed and you could just tell, that it was the perfect fit for Amber. After she was ready, we headed out to Dead Horse Point State Park to get them married.

Ceremony at Dead Horse Point State Park

A handful of family and friends attended as witnesses to the breathtaking cliffside ceremony for Amber & Garret. An elopement is an intimate small gathering for couples to become one in marriage in some of the most stunning places in the world. After the ceremony, their guests joined them for food, drinks, and a brief reception. Here the bride and groom had the chance to share their special dances and celebrate with their loved ones.

Wedding Portraits in the Mountains

After the reception, we ventured out for their romantic portraits all over the park. We started up in the mountains where the ceremony took place. From here we concluded the night on a random dirt road with the mountains as the backdrop at dusk. It’s our job to create stunning images that are completely unique to our couples and their newest adventure together as husband & wife!
