A Look into Allysa + Henry’s Fall Elopement in Zion National Park

When Henry and Allysa approached me a year ago in hopes that I would help them plan their destination elopement, I couldn’t wait for the time to come! After going through their options, we finally decided on Zion National Park! We immediately knew this was the best option because Zion has a wider variety of ceremony site locations. Between April and November, the only access to about 80% of the park is by shuttle bus, but guess what? That did not stop me from capturing their love!!

First Look at Their Bungalow

We started the day at their bungalow, where they decided to get ready separately and they chose to do a first look right out front so that we could enjoy the rest of the day together soaking it all in!! The architecture provided a very intimate backdrop for such a special moment. When Allysa stepped out onto the porch, I captured Henry’s look of awe and love in his eyes and it gave me all of the heart eye emojis.

We drove to the park and parked in the main lot and we then headed to the shuttle bus. After a gorgeous 40-minute ride, we arrived at our stop; “Temple of Sinawava” where Henry and Allysa exchanged private vows and took some portraits near the river. We walked half a mile to the ceremony site, “Menu Falls” When we arrived at “Menu Falls” we took a couple of minutes to gather ourselves before starting the ceremony. Love, Sunset, and Pizza: A Perfect Ending to a Perfect Day

Both Allysa and Henry are videographers themselves, so we handed them our Super 8 Film camera and let them take videos of each other; which turned out to be some of my favorite footage from the entire day!!

We got back on the shuttle and headed back to the car to pick up some pizza and take some gorgeous sunset photos!! The amazing beauty of Zion National Park was the best backdrop for each moment, from the first look to the sunset photos became a treasured memory that they will cherish for a lifetime!! I said it before and I will say it again, the perfect ending to a PERFECT day!!
