Adventurous Couples Session at Cadini di Misurina, IT

Katie and Hannah, coupled with their adventurous spirit, wanted to explore the Dolomite Mountains - specifically Cadini di Misurina where I had the pleasure of capturing their breathtaking couples session! To say that we had fun on this hike would be a complete understatement and I am thrilled that I was able to capture amazing memories that they will cherish for many years to come.

The Beauty of Cadini di Misurina

When most people think of Italy, they envision the architecture, the history, and the WINE. However, just two hours north of Venice, you'll find the magical Dolomite Mountains. These mountains are a hidden gem that offers breathtaking views and a once in a lifetime experience. Our session took place at this stunning location, and the vibes were nothing short of magical! The forecast showed a pleasant 50-degree day when we arrived, but the next morning we were surprised with freezing 30-degree weather! None of us packed appropriately for a snowy mountain adventure, but that didn't stop us from going anyway. While I stayed in a cozy Airbnb nearby, they rented a fully outfitted camper van for their six-day Italian adventure! They met me at Cadini di Misurina a couple of hours before sunset, bundled up in layers, and ready for the 1.2-mile incline hike. Despite the freezing weather, muddy patches, and snowbanks, we had a blast capturing romantic photos of Katie and Hannah. The cold weather made it hard not to cuddle up and the two of them fully enjoyed each other's presence. It was a joy to witness their love and connection as we navigated the breathtaking landscape.

A Note to Fellow Photographers!

When we reached the popular lookout point, there was a long line of eager photographers and visitors. The sun was setting, and we were all anxious about missing our opportunity for the perfect shot. As a reminder to fellow photographers, please be considerate and take your photos in a timely manner! Everyone in that line traveled a long way to be there, and it's only fair to share the space. We managed to get our shots in about 1.5 minutes, while some groups took 10-15 minutes. Let's all be courteous and ensure everyone gets their chance! Capturing this session for Katie and Hannah was an absolute pleasure.
