Adventurous Helicopter Elopement in Palmer, AK

I had the absolute pleasure of capturing an amazing adventure elopement for the lovely couple, Aiyana and AJ! This was not just any elopement, but a helicopter elopement that took off from Palmer, Alaska. Aiyana and AJ met in college on the wrestling team in California. With Aiyana being originally from Alaska, they couldn't think of a better place to tie the knot! We boarded the helicopter in Palmer and enjoyed a 30-minute flight over to a glacier before we landed. Along the way, we got to see so much of the Alaskan wilderness and scenery it was aaamazing! The views were simply breathtaking, with vast landscapes of snow-covered peaks and lush forests.

Aiyana & AJ’s Adventurous Helicopter Elopement

Once we landed, we threw on our crampons (spiky shoe accessories so that we wouldn't slide on the glacier) and took off to explore. The glacier was immense and breathtaking. We took some gorgeous photos, drank some fresh glacier water, and just took in the magnificent beauty we were surrounded by. When it felt right, the couple exchanged vows, officially making them a married couple! The moment was so intimate, surrounded by the beauty of the glacier. To seal their vows, they jumped into the nearly freezing water of a glacier pool! It was such an exhilarating moment, perfectly capturing their adventurous spirits.

After we landed back at our vehicles and made our way back to the rental house, we did an intimate couples’ session that included a bubble bath, shotgunning beers, and a trip with just the two of them to the private sauna. It was perfectly them, and I loved every bit of it. The intimate moments between the two were so genuine and full of love. This adventure elopement was truly one for the books. Aiyana and AJ's love for each other and their sense of adventure made the day incredibly special. From the helicopter ride to the glacier, the heartfelt vows, the plunge into the icy waters, and the cozy moments back at the rental house, every part of the day was filled with love, excitement, and joy. It was an honor to capture such beautiful memories for such a wonderful couple!
