Bryanna + Michael | How To Plan a Less Stressful Wedding With Multiple Locations

Bryanna and Michael had an action-packed wedding day that included 3 total locations for their celebration. Oftentimes, this can be very chaotic logistically and lead to a lot of stress. But these two did several key things right which allowed them to have a very intentional and enjoyable day!

Their first location was a cute Airbnb located 10 minutes away from the church where their ceremony was held. This gave the couple a great space to get ready with ease before heading over to their second location. The next location was at St. Anthony De Padua in San Antonio, TX. Here they were able to have an intimate church wedding ceremony before heading out to their venue. This leads us to the third and final location at Hayes Hollow, Hidden Falls in Spring Branch, TX. Logistically, there were a lot of moving parts - but these two planned the perfect wedding.

Keys to Planning a Multiple-Location Wedding

  1. Have a very small wedding party.

One of the factors that lead Micheal and Bryanna to have a seamless day was having a small wedding party. They had 2 bridesmaids & 2 groomsmen that accompanied them while getting ready along with a couple of immediate family members. The smaller wedding party allowed them to combine into two vehicles and move from one location to the other with ease.

  2. Only invite immediate family members to your ceremony.

These two opted for a Catholic Ceremony to tie the knot & only invited their immediate family members, 15-20 people total, to their ceremony. Their intimate ceremony was absolutely gorgeous and personal. They were able to speak to each of their witnesses and truly take in the moment without having to spend a large majority of time greeting and thanking everyone. This also allowed for a smooth transition into taking family portraits after the ceremony, which was a breeze!

  3. Have the reception guests meet you at the venue 30 minutes after your planned arrival time.

Once we arrived at the venue, we were able to take wedding party pictures & romantics uninterrupted and at a quicker pace. It was only at the end of portraits when Michael and Bryanna were sharing private vows that guests then started arriving for cocktail hour. After we finished up, they were able to join their guests & mingle during cocktail hour. Not only could the couple partake in the celebration with their guests, but by this time, all formal pictures were done - so they were able to slip into their dancing shoes and enjoy the rest of their evening as newlyweds!
