Nichole + Ryan | Summer Wedding in Fredericksburg Wine Country
It all started 7 years ago when Nichole and Ryan met their freshman year while attending Schreiner University. They tied the knot this last May in front of their friends, family, and beloved dog, Bentley, who also played a role in their engagement session! These two got married at La Bonne Vie Ranch, a gorgeous venue nestled in the Texas Hill Country in Fredericksburg, TX.
Wedding Day at La Bonne Vie Ranch
As with most wedding days, the girls arrive early to relax and get pampered. The guys did things a little different than most and decided to take advantage of the onsite shooting range and shot skeet early before it was time for them to get ready. Nichole opted out of doing a first look with her husband-to-be but definitely made a point to have one with the 2 most important men in her life leading up to today - her dad and her grandfather. I know it’s cliche to say that there wasn’t a dry eye in the room, but y’all, when dads start crying - I start crying. It’s just inevitable.
First Touch
Even though Nichole and Ryan opted out of seeing one another before the ceremony, they did decide to do a “First Touch” to give them a private moment to calm each other’s nerves before meeting each other at the altar. During this time they exchanged vows, laughs, and tears together which was a much needed moment of pause in the craziness of the wedding day! I love working with my couples to create a day filled with moments that are uniquely perfect for them.

Wedding Portraits in the Hill Country
A wedding is something you want to treasure for years to come, so I always try to capture several different photo moments with my couples. After photographing the wedding party we took our first set of portraits in a small field next to the chapel. Then at sunset, we took off to the vineyard for dreamy “golden-hour” shots amongst the vines. These stunning photos captured the hill country scene perfectly. Lastly, I always love to grab a few night photos so we headed back to the chapel for some fun shots. Nichole & Ryan were glowing with love and their laughter was contagious all day long! It was an honor to capture their special day.
