Makenzie and Garrett chose a fall wedding set against the rolling landscape of Texas Hill Country, but one theme remained at the heart of every moment: their people.
More than simply celebrating their love, they wanted to celebrate alongside the family and friends who had helped shape their story. With a wedding party of ten standing beside each of them, they were surrounded by a community eager to support, encourage, and celebrate this new chapter of their lives.
Throughout the day, Makenzie intentionally prioritized meaningful moments over elaborate photo opportunities. From a heartfelt first look with her dad, to being helped into her dress by her sisters, to sharing a quiet prayer with her bridesmaids before walking down the aisle, each part of the day reflected what mattered most to her.
The result is a collection of photographs filled with genuine connection, emotion, and love—a love that is palpable in every frame.
The ceremony was sweet and lighthearted, bathed in the most beautiful golden light as friends and family gathered to witness their vows. Before heading into cocktail hour, we took their energetic bridal party out into the tall grass fields for portraits, where the excitement was contagious and everyone helped set the tone for the celebration ahead.
Once the reception began, there was no slowing things down. The dueling piano performers kept the energy high all night long, leaving hardly a moment when the dance floor wasn't packed. From the first song to the final sendoff, guests celebrated with the same enthusiasm and joy that defined the entire day. Ending the night with a classic car exit through a tunnel of cold sparks, Makenzie and Garrett's wedding was truly one for the ages.
